Health Principle #5 - All Health Issues are Cause and Effect

Belief in DNA dominance

So many believe our DNA determines our health.   This idea comes from allopathic Doctors who keep perpetuating this myth.  In the medical schools, future doctors are taught this central dogma.  Francis Crick discovered the double helix of DNA in 1953.  By 1958 he proposed that gene info goes only one way.  starting with DNA,  the RNA sends the DNA information to ribosomes, which (in laymans terms) makes it into proteins.  This process is refered to as "Gene Expression."  The protiens made ultimately create how well the systems in our bodies go.  That is, for health or sickness.  So the story goes. All this would be so helpful to mankind if it always worked that way.  The reality is that it only works this way a small percentage of cases.

Dr. Joe Dispenza said, “We now know that less than 5 percent of all diseases today stem from single-gene disorders (such as Tay-Sachs and Huntington’s chorea), whereas around 95 percent of all illnesses are related to life-style choices, chronic stress, and toxic factors in the environment.”

A Cause for Health

All this is vital information if we are to determine what causes health or sickness.  If someone  believes all things stem from the DNA, which none of us have control over, then all we would have left to do is manage symptoms and make ourselves as comfortable as possible.  But if DNA is not the cause in 95% of the cases, wouldn't you want to kniw what the cause is?

Dr Joe Dispensa gave the answer, lifestyle choices.

Life Style Choices

Why would life style choices effect our health so much?  For the full answer I defer to Dr Bruce Lipton.  Ultimately he discovered that the DNA is a mere parts closet and the protiens are moved into action as a result of the environment of the cell.  The environment which you decided upon!

You are the Cause

All of this is good and challenging news.  As the driver of your life, you can direct how it goes.  Decide now to eat as well as you know and learn more.  Learn how to manage stress effectively.  Commit to good rest each night.   Take fun breaks during the week for a change of pace from the daily grind.  You are the indispensible cause and the effect will be as you chose.
